Julie has just been selected
as the creative partner for two very
different projects. The first, SEGRO
young artists, Julie will be working
with a secondary
school in Bristol to produce an exhibition of work around the theme 'world
of work'. The second, working with
a group of women in Slough (most of
which take
part in ESOL classes) on a textile project. This is run in conjunction
with the WEA and Creative Junction
with funding from 'The Learning Revolution'.

This month I am taking part in a couple of exhibitions, Farnham
festival of Crafts, at Farnham Maltings, Surrey, 13-14th Oct, and
'Paper Horizons' at Nature
in Art Museum and Art Gallery, Twigworth, Glos.

up Scheme' placement in Reading, but am staying on as Maker in Residence
at The Museum of English

I am running a number of workshops over the next few months

My solo show opens at MERL, Reading on June 5th. The exhibition runs
until July 1st. Whiteknights studio Trail is at the end of the month
23rd /24th June, I will be exhibiting at MERL along with 2 other makers.

The commission I have been working on for MERL is finished and
installed! I will post some photos soon. Meanwhile I am getting ready
to open my solo show at the museum on the 5th June.

I am taking part in a group exhibition at Artworks
MK called ‘Stitch’ from 5th April to 5th May.
The focus of the exhibition is on layers,
recycled and reconstituted materials, and
of course stitch,

I have been awarded some funding
from the David Canter Memorial fund to
go towards
testing and certification
of my
lighting (once I
have made
it!), I’ll keep you all posted of
my progress here so keep checking back.

I am running a couple of sessions for the Big Draw on the 14th of October
in Reading;
The first is at Reading
Museum from 10am –1pm, this will
concentrate on a combination of drawing
and papermaking,
The second is at MERL from
2pm – 4.30pm and will be a combination
of drawing and printmaking.
Both sessions are drop in and free, and are aimed at families.

on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of June. This is open studio event,
where I will be exhibiting as a guest artist from my studio at The Museum
